# Marinara Sauce

- 1 small onion, chopped small
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 28 oz. can(s) tomato puree
- 1 28 oz. can(s) tomatoes, diced
- 1 tablespoon(s) Italian seasoning
- 1 tablespoon(s) balsamic vinegar

## Instructions

1. **Saute aromatics.** Place the oil into a large saucepot over medium heat. Saute onion until fragrant and soft, 5-7 minutes. Add garlic to pot and cook one minute more.

2. **Add tomatoes and seasonings.** Add tomatoes, Italian seasoning, and vinegar. Bring to a boil then immediately turn heat down to a low simmer.

3. **Simmer.** Allow to cook 30 minutes (or up to 3 hours), stirring occasionally.
