# Peanut Butter Buckeyes

- 1 1/2 cups (18 oz) creamy peanut butter
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 to 4 cups powdered sugar
- 1/4 cups peanut-flavored chocolate chips
- 2 tablespoons Crisco/vegetable oil
- 4 ounces chocolate chips

## Instructions

1. **Combine peanut butter mixture.** Combine peanut butter, beating butter, vanilla and salt in large bowl. Beat with an electric mixer on LOW until blended. Add 2 cups powdered sugar when shaped into a ball, will stay on a toothpick.

2. **Insert toothpick in peanut butter ball.** DIPPING: Fill a tall, narrow pitcher or ball jar with melted chocolate, leaving room at top for dipping. Insert a toothpick in each chocolate-covered peanut butter ball, leave top uncovered to resemble a buckeye. Remove excess.

3. **Dip in chocolate.** Place on wax paper-lined tray. Remove toothpick. Smooth over holes, refrigerate until firm.
